FF#100!!! Aquamarine
Good evening ladies...and 1 or some gentleman that may be following.
Tonight we have decided to do things a bit differently this week. There was such a great response from our first post back on the scene, that we had to choose more than the norm. We have decided to pick 2 Top winners, and 6 top 3 (3 layouts & 3 cards/projects).
Now before I go any further into that, I have a bit of news. I (Tanisha) will be going back to sea duty(Navy). I actually leave to do work ups(mini deployments) real soon... to follow after that, a 7 month deployment. So it will just be Cammie and Leslie running things here on the home front for awhile. As you see we can get behind... so please just have patience if a post is not up exactly on Friday. We are also thinking of going to 1 challenge a month, at least until I get back.
Okay enough of the boring stuff...on to our winners!
Our Top 3...ahem 6 (in no particular order) are...
Congratulations ladies, these entries were gorgeous!
Please feel free to grab our shoe of the week badge from our side bar.
Now for our Top winner(s)...
Nancy (Windstar)
Gro Tjelveit

Happy New Year & FF 98
We hope that you all had a wonderful holiday! We took an impromptu break to celebrate the reason for the season with our family and friends. We truly want to thank all of our followers for their support in through the year and cannot wait to share with you all the great things that we have planned for 2012.
Wow! Where did 2011 go? Only hours left before we ring in the New Year and welcome in 2012. Along with the New Year comes New Year's resolutions. Hmmmmmm - will I be among the many to crowd the gym again in January? Although I need to, this New Year we are making a resolution to use up my stash & our FF #98 challenge welcomes you to join us.
I am so guilty of hoarding all sorts of craft products! I have been crafting for over 2 years now & I have watched just about EVERY crafting youtube video out there and just NEEDED all the supplies each crafter used. But my worst culprit was paper packs - so I incorporated one of my oldest paper packs into my FF#98 challenge.
We cannot wait to see what you create for this challenge. The challenge is open until January 13, 2012. Challenges must be new as of today. If you are posting to an online gallery please use FF#98.

Apologies...
Hey all! Lesley here. I'm very sorry that the latest Fashionista Friday post has not arrived, and I sincerely apologize that we haven't at least named the Shoe of the Week and Top 3 from our last challenge. Let's just say as the holiday rush begins...some things get pushed very far to the side. We'll have the new challenge up in the next day or two, so hang in there with us!
Love,

FF#96...Try Something New!
Happy FRIDAY!!! Any one else as excited as me that Friday has (finally!) arrived! I'm so excited to bring you the latest and greatest challenge from the Shoe...but first...let's send a big THANK YOU out to those that played along in the FF#95 KISS challenge! Unfortunately (sniff) we only had a handful of entries...so this week instead of a Top 3 and Shoe of the Week...we're only awarding a Shoe of the Week!
The FF#95 Shoe of the Week goes to:
What some of you may not know...Hazel has been playing along with us since pretty much the beginning of the Shoe! And the absolutelyfabulous card above is our most favorite of all her entries over the past two years! Congratulations Hazel! Please feel free to grab our Shoe of the Week badge from the sidebar!
Before we get to this week's excitement...I just want to remind you all of our Season of Giving card drive...get those cards sent in! And don't forget...everyone who plays along with us for the month of November will be entered into a random.org drawing for a fab prize pack (details of prize pack will be posted with our next challenge!).
Oh my word! Are those not the cutest little creatures you have ever seen??? Ok...so now...you all are up! We can't wait to see what "something new" you decide to display! Challenge entries must be new as of today, November 11th. Please include a DIRECT link to your blog post (and don't forget to tell us what you are trying out) and include a link back here to the Shoe! If you are posting to an online gallery, please use the tag FF#96. Have a blast!

This week we here at the Shoe are so thrilled to welcome The Beary Scrap as our sponsor!
The Beary Scrap is a family owned and operated independent online paper crafting boutique. Originating as on online boutique back in 2005, our operation expanded in October 2008 to an actual brick-n-mortar store. Due to a devastating economy, we were forced to close our local brick-n-mortar store in November 2010 so that we could continue to supplying our cherished customers with premuim supplies for their paper crafting needs.
We here at the Shoe were so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with some of The Beary Scrap's amazing Tear Bear patterns, papers and tools...and man oh man...what fun!
As none of us Shoes had ever really made a tear bear before...that led us to call this week's challenge...the TRY SOMETHING NEW challenge! Spread your wings...step out of your comfort zone...and go for the gusto! Here are some samples to help get your mojo flowing!
Tanisha (using Marcy Mouse)
Penny (using Pansy Piggy)
Lesley (using Sidney the Skunk)
Cammi (using Oliver the Dog)

FF#95...with a KISS and the SOG!
Ok...that was about as good a title I could come up with for this post! We'll get to FF#95 in just a moment, but... First...the SOG!
We here at the Shoe would like to kick off our own little "Season of Giving." During the month of November, we are asking you to contribute cards to the Season of Giving Card Drive. We have chosen to collect cards to donate to the Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters in Virginia. Our lovely Shoe, Cammi, first brought us this idea a few weeks ago, and we've been doing a little bit of work behind the scenes to see what all needed to happen in order to conduct this card drive properly. So first...let me let Cammi explain a little bit about the thoughts behind this card drive:
Being in the hospital is difficult for the not only the patient, but also the patient’s family. While spending time with your loved one in the hospital it quickly becomes apparent how precious time is. I work at a children’s hospital and have watched families struggle with trying to be able to be in so many places at one time. I have watched mothers struggle with the desire to go and pick up a get well card for their sick family member or a thank you card for the doctor or nurse who helped them through their toughest time; but not wanting to leave their loved ones bedside.
So here's how it will work...for all Fashionista Friday challenges between today (Nov. 7th) and Dec. 8th, we ask that when you enter a card in our challenges, that you consider sending in the cards for our SOG Card Drive. Cards (with envelopes please) can be mailed to Cammi at the following address:
and to let you know a little bit more about what we'll be doing during the Season of Giving...I'll let Tanisha explain this part:
CHKD that stands for Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters. Every year they hold a radiothon to raise money for the children's hospital. Well yours truly, thats right Lesley, Cammi and Tanisha will be there volunteering the night of December 9th answering phones and taking pledges. Here is a quick little blurb from the website: Tune in to 94.9 The Point December 7th-10th as Chuck and Woo-Woo broadcast their 10th Annual Radiothon to benefit CHKD. Hear amazing stories of CHKD patients who overcame great odds to survive illnesses and traumatic events. The event will be broadcast live from the CHKD lobby. Call 668-9000 during the event to make your pledge and help the children!
I would really love for you all to read history on this fantastic hospital by clicking here.
So there you have it...the Shoe SOG! Hopefully you will all play along with us during the month of November, and then mail your cards in for the CHKD! If you have ANY questions about this card drive, please feel free to leave a comment on this post, or email us at iftheshoefits5@gmail.com and we will answer them!
and NOW...on to FF#95!
For this (brief) challenge...we wan't to see your KISS cards...in other words...Keep It Simple Sweetheart! Here are some samples to get you going:
and well...that's it for this Monday! SO...to recap...make cards...send them in...so we can give them to some folks that could use them for good things! Oh...and don't forget to play along in the FF#95 challenge while you are at it! Challenge entries must be new as of today, November 7th and the challenge closes on Friday, Nov. 11th at 9 am EST. Please include a DIRECT link to your blog post (or online gallery) and include a link back here to the Shoe! If you are posting to an online gallery, please use the tag FF#95. Have fun! We can't wait to see your KISS cards!
Oh WAIT...one last thing...everyone who enters a challenge during the month of November (starting with FF#95) will be entered into a drawing to win a fabulous prize pack! What's in it? Stay tuned! We'll post more info about the prize pack in the coming weeks! I have to say...it's delicious, and features some fab goodies from one of my FAVE stamping companies!
