Want to be our next Guest Designer???

It could be you!

All you need to do is create a LO based on the following sketch:

Mix it up! Be creative and make it your own! Then shoot us an email at iftheshoefits5@gmail.com with your take on it. Please be sure to include "DT Call" in the subject line of your email. Also include your favorite card and a third item that you think really shows off your style. Make sure you let us know why you'd be a great Guest Designer, a bit about yourself and include any links (blogs, online galleries etc) that you think we'd love to see to learn about you!

That's it! So easy! AND once you apply your name will continue to be in the running, no need to reapply!

Can't wait to hear from you!

All about Karmyn...

Ahoy-hoy! I'm Karmyn, and I'm glad you stopped by! Would you like some tea?

I am the Canadian import of the group, although I've been in the good ol' U S of A since summer of 2005, when me and my crazy yankee doodle artist fella got hitched. I s'pose it's only appropriate that I fell in love with a musician/artist/eccentric type! My son and I moved to Blueberryville (note: not the real name, but an accurate reflection of what's here), New Jersey and were very excited to start life anew, and I have never looked back! I am 35 years old, I wear knee-socks and don faux-hawks, and I have tattoos and piercings. Quite simply, I refuse to grow up.

My artistic style started out very clean sometime in mid- to late 2006, influenced by a close friend in England who makes very simple, elegant, traditional cards. Since then, I'll try just about anything, and I love to play with new products and new techniques. Only within the last year have I gotten into busying things up and ridin' the boogie, trying to keep things looking fresh and funky.

The hubbin/cheeseburger/turkopuff/floopy/love of my life and I are in a band, trying to break out of the local and indie circuit to get rich and famous and do cutesy little ditties for ice cream commercials. He's the brilliant writer, and I, as the eccentric, somewhat glammy Leah L'Orange, contribute some vocals, light percussion, and a splash of silliness to our live shows.

I work from home (WOOT!) for an awesome company that sells software (you name it, we've got it!) to schools, students and non-profits at sweet discounts. I am obsessed with the colour ORANGE, I am a big music junkie, with special affection for retro/new-wave and minimalistic indie. I am a giant film snob, loving the foreign and horror/splat flicks. I am quite content in my little house with my sweet hubbin, feisty son, and lovey senior kitty-cat (Ophelia, lovingly known as Miss O), and I absolutely LOVE playing with my girlies at The Shoe!

Come visit my blog, The Chronicles of Orange, and feel free to check out the band, yearlongday! I also welcome new friends and feedback, so all comments and followers welcome! Thanks for checkin' out my bidnizz, and I hope you'll be back! :D

All about Adina...

Hola!!! My name is Adina.... Medina. My parents weren't cruel enough to name me that, but as soon as I met my husband of seven years, I knew it'd be just my luck to become a "Medina". We have a daughter who is turning six soon, and she is definitely a "mini-me" - she loves to scrap and do ANYTHING crafty. By trade I'm a high school English teacher and freelance medical editor. I began scrapping shortly after our wedding and have become hooked, preferring to craft over doing anything else most days! I've recently ventured into card making and stamping, and LOVE the fact that I can make a mini piece of art using just my scrap supplies and imagination. I'm psyched to be a member of the Design Team for If the Shoe Fits, Scrap It and I can't wait to share my love for this craft with you further!

About Lesley...

Hello!!! I am Lesley, a 32 year old working Mom who has been happily married for 9 years. I have one daughter who in the past few months has begun to beg me to share my crafting supplies with her! I am currently living in South Carolina, moving here in June 2008. About the same time as we were making plans to move, I was invited to a stamping/card making party...and I was instantly hooked! Since that fateful day, I have ventured into scrapbooking, and most recently mixed media collage! My current favorite item to work with is blank canvas, as I have found you can take all aspects of cardmaking, stamping, scrapbooking, collage...and make it into a piece you will want hanging on your wall! I am very excited to get to know all of you and look forward to sharing some craft time with you all!

I am a member of the design team for a local store here in virginia as well. I'm looking forward to sharing everything I know with you and hopefully challenging you to reach new levels with your own scrapping!

About Dawn...

Hi, my name is Dawn. I'm happily married to Jason for 6 yrs now. I'm a mother of two, Wesley and Makayla. I've been scrapbooking now for almost 2 yrs. My first scrapbook I did was for my senior year of high school. I really didn't get into scrapbooking until my Sister-in-law introduced it to me a few years back. I thank her for getting me into it. I love learning new techniques. I really don't have a certain style when it comes to my LO's. It's pretty much whatever I'm in the mood to do that day. I look forward to getting to know whoever decides to follow this blog.
