Before we get to the latests and greatest Fashionista Friday challenge, we have a few announcements to make!  First...We are so happy to welcome Cammi as a full time member of the Shoe!  She previously was a member of our Feb - Aug 2011 DT, and we asked her to hang around with us, and she said yes!  Woohooo!

And our last announcement before we reveal this week's challenge...We are looking for some NEW SHOES to join our DT!   Our Fall/Winter DT Call is ON!  We are looking for a new team of paper crafters of all shapes, sizes, experience and styles!

Details:

Term: 6 months, October 2011 -  March 30, 2012

DT Requirements:

• An active blog
• Participate in 2-3 challenges a month and post those challenges on your blog
• Regular internet access.  All challenges are posted in the Shoe DT Yahoo Group and members will need to check in periodically
• Be able to work with digi image

What we can offer you:

• An opportunity to meet new people and make new friends
• Exposure to a new audience
• A link to your blog direct from the Shoe homepage
• fun and games along the way!

Step 1:

Well...let's just say it's been an eventful two weeks...FF#89 was all about Welcome to the Jungle...I didn't intend to Welcome earthquakes and hurricanes!  Hope all of you are well and have survived Hurricane Irene with little damage.  Our hearts go out to those still without power, who have lost their homes, and special prayers to those that lost loved one's from this hurricane.

Happy Friday (evening) ya'll!  Hope that all is great in your world.  Very happy to say that silly season in my neck of the woods has drawn to a close...and thankfully all we have left is a bit of cleanup!  Now...WOWZA!  77 entries in our FF#88 challenge!  We'll be back later to post the Top 3 and Shoe of the Week...there are so many AMAZING entries to choose from...we have to take our time and peruse all of your art!

While July 4th has technically passed, I'm sure we all have some great pics from this past Holiday weekend that most definitely need to be turned into fab scrapbook pages, or some cards that need to be made and sent to friends and family both at home and abroad, or maybe...you have some time to make a card for a service member who could use a little taste of the homefront!

If so, check out the folks at Operation Write Home, who are always looking for some cards to share with our Soliders, Sailors, Marines and Airmen.  The cards they collect are packaged and sent to our servicemembers so they can help heroes keep in touch with home (their slogan, not mine).  There are specific restrictions on items and products allowed on the cards (i.e. NO GLITTER), so please check out the OWH Card Guidelines for additional information!  I can think of nothing better than to give a card for a great cause (IMHO).  I hear the next major event they are seeking cards for is Back to School (just saying) And now...I step off my soap box...
