Design Team Call

Well....now that the Shoe-makeover is under way, it is time to add a Design Team! We are looking for a few gals/guys to join us here at the Shoe. Here are the requirements:

This is a 3 month commitment. We have 1 challenge a week, which makes 4-5 challenges a month. You will be sent your assignments 1 month in advance to give you ample time to complete them. You will then email us your projects and we will post them as samples along with the challenge! At this time, we do not have a sponsor, so all we can offer YOU is a DT badge, your work displayed here every week, and your shining smiling face in the DT section of our sidebar (it isn't there yet, but it will be!)

If you would like to be a member of our design team, please submit 4 of your favorite projects to iftheshoefits5@gmail.com . We are looking for versatility, so try to include a variety of samples! Deadline for submissions is September 21.

We are looking forward to seeing your submissions! The number of DT members we accept will depend on the number of applications we receive! Thanks for your interest!

Wednesday Card Challenge

Happy Wednesday everyone! Are you ready for a card challenge?? Before I get to that, let me take a minute to tell you about a few changes you will be seeing here in September. First of all, the shoe will be getting yet another make-over! If you are curious, I have a teeny sneak peak on my personal blog (Scrappin' Trackside) to give you an idea! The reason for yet another make-over? Well, we have had a few of our design team members say goodbye, and the Shoe is starting fresh so to say. Don't worry, we aren't going anywhere! The Shoe will now be run by myself, Tracey, and Tanisha alone. Good news for you our followers...we WILL be looking for a new design team! Stay tuned in September, as details will follow! In the mean time, you may have noticed our Guest Designer call has been removed. We will not be accepting anymore guest designer applications until we get a full time design team in place! We already had the next 2 months of guest designers in place, and those lucky ladies will STILL be playing along with us for those months! Another major change you will be seeing starting in September is we will have less challenges. There will be one challenge a week, posted on Fridays! So, every friday, be sure to stop in here at the Shoe to get your weekend scrappiness started! And, lastly....we will no longer have a sponsor, so, sadly, our gift cert prizes will not be offered anymore. BUT! We do have a SHOE-TASTICALLY fabulous blinkie to offer for our fav project every week! In the future, we may acquire sponsorship from time to time, but at the time being, we have nothing lined up. We hope this won't affect participation! Blinkies are fun, right?!!!
So now that THAT is out of the way...let's get on to today's challenge! Think...the great outdoors. Today we are challenging you to make a card with an outdoor theme. Think, trees, bbq, sunshine, mountains, the beach, etc...anything outdoorsy! Check out my outdoorsy card:
