Color Challenge Time!

Well one and all, its FRIDAY!!!! I can't say as its been a horrible week (except all the sickness going around) but heck, any reason to celebrate and Friday is always a great one! Just a heads up, you have until Tuesday at midnight to enter this weeks Card Challenge and until the end of the month to submit to our Sketch Challenge. This Color Challenge will go until Thursday, March 19th at midnight!

The winner of last weeks Color Challenge is..... JANET!!! We all thought her card was just too cute to pass up! Congrats! Remember the winner of each challenge gets an extra entry into the drawing for our March prize pack. (March prize pack sponsored by the lovely Miss Tracey! Yeah, we love her too!)

Card Challenge Wenesday! All About Friendship!

Okay, ladies.... so how about that ever so fabulous sketch challenge by Kristy, yeah, she is the bomb! Hmmm.. showing my age now, does anyone even say "bomb" anymore, lol?

Well hopefully this challenge will be just as fab for ya!

This card challenge is going to be "All About Friendship".

So whatever friendship means to you, interpret it in your card. Be creative, and show us your stuff!
There is a couple of catches, your card must have the word friend or friendship and have the color yellow somewhere on it. That's it! Easy, right? Good Luck ladies!

Monday's Sketch Challenge!

We've made it through the opening week. There was some great challenges and the participation and entries were all amazing! We here at If the Shoe Fits would love to give a big THANK YOU to everyone for giving us a warm reception from the get go!!! We will be announcing the winners of our Launch Week Challenges tomorrow so make sure and stay tuned!

TGIF!!!

Well....it is FRIDAY! And we made it through a spectacular launch week! We would like to thank each and every person who stopped by this week to see what we are about! And GREAT job with all of our challenges! You still have the rest of the weekend to get them in by the way....so keep on scrappin!
AND.....if those challenges weren't enough for you....I would like to introduce our very first TGIF challenge! Every friday we will be posting a fun COLOR challenge!!! Keeping with our party theme.....this week's colors will be ORANGE and LIME GREEN....margarita colors!!! Yes...we are celebrating happy hour today! So pour yourself a margarita, pull out those fun bright oranges and greens and get your scrap on!!

Hi! My name is Kristy... and I'm your artsy-scrapper!

I'm probably what your would call an artsy type. Maybe an artist is you want to get right down to it but scrapping satisfies a creative need in me in a completely different way from drawing and painting. Its totally more of a "social" art and I LOVE IT! I love being around other scrappers and chat while I crop. Which isn't something you can do sitting by yourself with bristol and pencil (though that can be just as rewarding!) .Which is why I was SO honored when I was asked to be on this design team! I love the collaboration and teamwork. I love the love of the art form. Its all about the memories AND all about the art. I can't wait to know every one of you here on this creative journey together!

I am: a woman who wears many hats and must doff a new one fairly quickly. Mom of 2, full time employee, wife, artist, scrapper, friend.

Why do you scrap? To remember the everyday things that make life "life" in a creative way.

Inspiration: I love checking out all the magazines and the 2peas members gallery. There are so many styles out there you can not fail to be inspired!

Scrapbook Trademark I hand write all my journaling, that seems to be the one consistent mark of my pages. I love th:e little journal strips. You'll definitely see those A LOT!

Confession: I am soooooo messy when I scrap! My pages aren't nearly as "involved" as other peoples but I tear thru my stuff like a whirlwind, a slow whirlwind. That's primarialy because I never go at my pages with any sort of plan. Its definately and evolution! It is not uncommon to see glitter on me the next day (even after my shower!)


Tanisha's challenge was a toughy but in the end I HAD to remain true to the blog! Here's my take on her challenge:




Well, we are at our fifth and final challenge on the blog for the week! And I for one have had a blast! I know that I've already said that I go about my pages with no plan what so ever BUT I've started doing sketches and I think this maybe just the thing I need to help streamline my scrapping! So my challenge is going to be a good ol' sketch challenge! Take it. Make it yours and have FUN!!! Here's the sketch:

Hi, I'm Dawn and I'm a ribbon addict!

I'm so in love with American Craft ribbon. I can not go into a scrapbook store and not buy any American craft ribbon. I'm so looking forward to getting to know everyone. I'm so excited about the new adventure the Design Team and I have decided to begin.

I am: Dawn, a 29 yr old mother to Wesley and Makayla and loving wife to Jason
Why do you scrap? I love how it makes me feel when I'm finally finished with a project. It's also a great stress reliever. I want my kids to have something to remember all the things they did when they were little.
Inspiration: I love looking at idea books, magazines, blogs, and sketches
Scrapbook Style: I really don't have a style. But, I'm really getting into the look of negative space.
Playlist: Queen, Flo Rida, Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce, and many more. That's the ones I could think of off the top of my head
Can't live without: I don't think I could choose just one. But my favorite is my Cricut, stickles, and my cutterpede.
Fav Color Combo: Brown and pink
Scrapbook Trademark: I really don't have one. But most of my LO's have a flourish on them somewhere.
Confession: I can't go into a scrapbook store and not buy anything.

HI! i'm tracey! and i am on step 1....

.....of the 12 step program...LOL! i admit i need a scrappy program!

I am: Tracey....a 33 year old mother, proud navy wife, and scrap-a-holic!
Why do you scrap? i scrap for many reasons! probably the most important reason is it makes me feel good about myself. I am the most relaxed when i am creating things, and take great pride in my work. And it always feels good when someone compliments my work! That is a great motivation to create!!
Inspiration: i find my inspiration all over the place! most of the time, i consult my close to my heart idea books...i LOVE them. I also love my Cards magazine for ideas, and well...teh internet seems to have an endless supply of sketches out there....so....i am usually set for inspiration!
Scrapbook Style: busy busy busy!!! everyone always can tell a LO i have made by how much stuff is just everywhere!!! i LOVE to embellish!!! and my favorite embellishment....BIRDS! anythingn with birds, and i'm all over it!
Playlist: that is tough....half the time i am jamming to my ipod, and the other half, well....scrapping to speed channel! yes...i'm a nascar junkie as well...so, it is nice to do 2 of my favorite things at one time! scrap and watch racing!!!
Can't live without: oh geez...do i ahve to pick one thing??? then probably my cutterpede! i couldn't scrap without it!!!
Fav Color Combo: that is tough! i scrap it all! all colors and combos! Red is one of my fav colors though....so anything that goes with red...
Scrapbook Trademark: you won't find them on ALL my stuff...but yeah...back to the birds....gotta love birds!! of all shapes and sizes...owls, roosters, seagulls....if it's got feathers....i want it on my page!
Confession: i'm a scrapbook supply junkie!! i need a 12 step program seriously....i simply cannot help myself when i walk into a store...i buy everything!!! I have no self control!!! Somebody Stop me!!

My take on the shoes...LOL!!! my fave shoes EVER are flip flops!!! i am not by any means a 'glamour girl' and i would have no business on sex in the city....for me, a pair of flip flops are the way to go all yr round!!!
